Well, I finally lost the "young" in "young adult." I'm 40 today. Feels a lot like 39 did. ha ha
I think God for bringing me this far. I still have my health and I'm happy with the progress I've made in my life thus far. This was the decade I bought my first condo - then moved to a new city
and had to buy another
. This was the decade I started going
to conventions
and joining book clubs. I went on my first cruise
at 32 and started a jogging routine at 35. I stopped DXing in my 20s only to take it up again
in my 30s. One is always trying to figure out what's next and, though I don't plan any more moves between cities, I'm still excited about what the future will bring. I hit some goals in my 30s and I missed some. Now I assess what I want to achieve in my 40s.
Someday I'll slow down, but someday isn't here yet. I'm not cut out to be an old codger anyway. Am I over the hill now? Nah.
"Hey Sonny, have you heard the music kids are listening to today? Can you even call it music?"
Oh no! I am getting old!
"That's the end of my birthday post. Now get off my (digital) lawn!"
