This Falling EdenUPDATED AUG 17, 2026

This is the official page for my novel This Falling Eden. The book is entering its third draft and is available to test readers. What started as a single novel has been split into a trilogy:

• This Falling Eden
• This Falling Sea
• This Falling Tower

Hundreds of years after a global catastrophe known as "The Time of Forgetting" halted mankind’s technological progress, a new army has risen to conquer the scattered peoples of the Earth. Two brothers, Nitcef and Venitcen, capture a writing pad from the enemy and flee with their village to Rai Ver While, a city under the protection of Zanine, their tribe’s only Sky Person. Only Sarsa, Zanine’s granddaughter, knows what the writing pad represents. The ability to write is the ability to control the ancestors’ technology. This Falling Eden is a futuristic twist on the Tower of Babel story, set in an Edenic world where it’s said Noah talked God out of flooding the Earth. The force of mankind’s one language had increased with each generation, until the powers of writing and speech became the power to create and destroy, to dominate one another, and to fashion themselves into gods. Now, as the enemy advances into the world’s highest mountains and Rai Ver While falls under siege, Sarsa and her allies execute a bold plan to travel the conquered Earth and find the City of Falling Water, where the Time of Forgetting began. And where it may begin again.

Like my first novel, Caffeine, this work is meant to carry a Christian message outside of a traditional Christian readership. A search among literary agents was done in 2022, but it doesn't look like I'll be going that route. If self-published, I intend to release them all in the same year.

Writing Progress

The final outline, adopted for the fourth draft, has 35 chapters with a prologue and epilogue. Chapter numbers will no longer have "E" prefixes. All that will remain is some professional line editing before publication.
